Cross-over child's scarf

Cross-over scarf ( this one is a small one for a child maybe, if you want it bigger cast on more stitches and make the neck length longer) Cast on 24 sts...then knit 2 stitches, purl 2 stitches, to the end. Do this row 30 times ( more if for an adult also more stitches cast on) *Next knit 6 stitches...turn work...purl the same 6 stitches back...knit 25 rows in this rib...put stitches on a safety pin to keep. Do this another 3 x with the left over 18 stitches put them on a safety pin. (you should have 4 strips of separately knitted bits, making sure they are all the same lenght)* Now place the stitches from the safety pin, back on your knitting needles and knit 2 stitches, and purl 2 stitches, again till you have the length you need. Then repeat from * to * again.
Then very carefully weave the last strips through the first strips as per photo, and put all the stitches back on the knitting needles. When all the stitches have been put on one needle again repeat the 2 plain/2 purl stitches till you have the same length as when you started (30 rows or more) Work in the threads and you are done see ya!

helping yet again.

I really do love going to the nursing home facility that I go to, and the lovely ladies there try so hard to "make" something. So this one nearly 90 year old, knitted lots and lots of small coloured squares...then she started to sew some of them together.....then she "hid" the work all together. Several times I had asked her where it was, and for her to get it and bring it, so I could crochet an edge around it for her....she finally brought it out, a bit embarrassed I think. Anyway I told her I'd take it home and see what I could do with it,. She'd sewn about 30 squares together, and still had that many to put to it....so here goes.... This is how it was when I brought it home .... I'd spread it out and had a good look to see what I could do And here it is...done....edge and all hope she likes it! See ya!

A new start..

... Started this a long time ago, will try and finish it... ...See ya!
