real good hour, repeated twice, to make sure you heard right see ya!

you might remember.....

you might recall a lovely jumper I posted a while back, and I only had a photo to go by? I did manage to do the, what I thought was the most difficult square and there it lay! Then I heard my grand daughter was expecting, so I decided, I did not really need another top....so I made it into a baby blanket instead and here it is... You might recognise one of the squares? See ya

helping yet again.

I really do love going to the nursing home facility that I go to, and the lovely ladies there try so hard to "make" something. So this one nearly 90 year old, knitted lots and lots of small coloured squares...then she started to sew some of them together.....then she "hid" the work all together. Several times I had asked her where it was, and for her to get it and bring it, so I could crochet an edge around it for her....she finally brought it out, a bit embarrassed I think. Anyway I told her I'd take it home and see what I could do with it,. She'd sewn about 30 squares together, and still had that many to put to it....so here goes.... This is how it was when I brought it home .... I'd spread it out and had a good look to see what I could do And here it is...done....edge and all hope she likes it! See ya!

Some left over wool....

What to do with some left over wool' Well, fortunately I had enough to make this scarf and hat. Not too bad, even if I say so myself see ya!

Something different

When I was a small child, we did not always have the money to buy the things we needed, but mum was pretty good at making do. This is how it was started.... This was her way of keeping us warm in winter, even though she could not really afford to buy the wool for a complete jumper, it sure looked like we were wearing one...and it kept us warm as well... see ya!

I got side tracked....

I am going to a "special event" and need "special event" head gear so I put this together for it... What do you think? Look alright? see ya

Well.....finally.....

Been a busy few days.....had to do a fair bit of mowing and then not much "other work" gets done.....But I finally did do some more to my "little" squares I think it will probably grow into a scarf : All I have to do to finish it, is to add a fringe at either end. This is what I started with, you might remember? So, what do you think? looks o.k.? See ya

These little squares help to use up small balls of wool.....this is not finished yet. Will show the rest when I'm done....see ya

I started one!

As you can see I started the hardest one.... It did take some figuring out but I think it's pretty close See ya!
