Cross-over scarf ( this one is a small one for a child maybe, if you want it bigger cast on more stitches and make the neck length longer) Cast on 24 sts...then knit 2 stitches, purl 2 stitches, to the end. Do this row 30 times ( more if for an adult also more stitches cast on) *Next knit 6 stitches...turn work...purl the same 6 stitches back...knit 25 rows in this rib...put stitches on a safety pin to keep. Do this another 3 x with the left over 18 stitches put them on a safety pin. (you should have 4 strips of separately knitted bits, making sure they are all the same lenght)* Now place the stitches from the safety pin, back on your knitting needles and knit 2 stitches, and purl 2 stitches, again till you have the length you need. Then repeat from * to * again. Then very carefully weave the last strips through the first strips as per photo, and put all the stitches back on the knitting needles.
