I promised to try and figure out how to do that lovely pattern down below, Oct I think it was, with the twist in the hat and scarf..... It turned out quite easy so I just did a head band with one twist, so I could show you. This is knitted, but you could do the same in crocheting. All you do is cast on 20 sts Knit first row to the end *2nd row knit 5st, purl 10, knit 5. That is what you do 4 rows, (rows 1 and 2) next knit 5, cast off ten, knit 5 turn next knit 5 cast on 10 knit 5* repeat this little set till you have length required. (see 2nd photo) Then have a good look at the 3rd photo...you sort of twist the first cast off 10 sts and loop it through the next one. Once you have started it's easy to just keep going till you have done them all. If you want to do 2 rows next to each other, like the hat below, cast on an extra 15 sts, and do the same thing.
