My large pink doly!

I was going to make something special for my grand daughter. It needed to be about 27" across a circle. This is what happened!!! It's too big. This is nearly 30" across, so I will have to use it for something else, (it was suggested to use it as a cover for a large comfy cushion)Here it is! see ya!

Finished....at last!

As you can see, I finally finished it.....quite like it. It was all free hand as there was no pattern for it, hence it took so long to finish it! See ya!

I did these for ease.

I have had this pattern for a long time and use it for a variety of ideas as you can see. White small booties:3 ply wool: needle size 2¾.. coloured larger booties 8 ply wool: needle size 3¾ needles Red booties same as coloured. (All these booties are using the exact same pattern..showing that 3 ply wool and smaller needles make smaller booties...but same stitch count and heavier ply wool and larger needles make larger booties) tbl, means through back of loop. Incr, means make 2 stitches out of 1. wrn, means wool round needle. These booties are started from the foot end, not the top. Cast on 37 stitches....knit 1 row. 2nd row: K 1. incr 1: K 15: incr 1. K 1, incr 1: K15:incr 1 K1. 3rd row: and all odd rows, Knit 4th row: K 1.incr 1: K 17: incr 1. K 1, incr 1: K17: incr 1 K 1. 6th row: K 1. incr 1: K19: incr 1. I found this beautiful hat and scarf on the web somewhere, I think it was a Turkey's web.....I am going to try and make the hat....I think it is lovely...if I can find the web site again I will place it here too see ya Yaddy P.S. I think I found the link and this may be it! shemyvyazaniya.com

this is how you wear them!

And this is how it looks when you wear it on a cold and freezing day! See ya!

these are they.....

The pointy bit is crocheted with the crocodile stitch, the top bit that fits around the neck is knitted according to size. These are for two friends, hope they like them. see ya!

Scarf? maybe yes...maybe no!

This was neither a scarf nor a jumper. When I was a child my mum used to knit a Half jumper, due to not having enough wool to make a complete one. So I improvised and kind of did the same but a bit fancier...this is the beginning...I will show the complete item when I have finished it.'See ya!

We had some rain, sooooo..

I thought I'd make these, they are only small for a little fella's jumper or something, seeing I could not go out anywhere...It's too cold anyway...see ya!

Did this and about another 4 in a variety of sizes

If you have any spar jars, size doesn't matter so much, you could make this and use it for Christmas. You can see a red one and a green one in the back ground....look very nice! They have a battery candle in them, so no worries about fires. See ya!

Trying some Irish crochetting

Sure hope this doily turns out alright! Oh well...seeya!

Beautiful Savior - St. Olaf

Yet another doll....

I am a volunteer at a nursing home and they had this doll. I asked them if I could dress it for them, and they said Yes, I could.... so...here it is...all ready to go home again! Sure hope they like it... see ya!

Baby shower.

I was invited to an unexpected baby shower and had to come up with a little something. I feel booties are always welcome so I made a pair, to bring for the new mum to be, to use. It's a very simple pattern, as I did not have much time to make them. So, what I did, I cast on about 45 chains st, then, miss the first 3 ch and make a treble in every chain to the end. You should have 43 trebles. I did about 3-4 rows of trebles, that is for the foot. Then I slip stitched in the first 9 stitches, then 1 Treble in same stitch as last slip stitch and do 24 trebles and turned. Then I did about 7-8 or so treble rows, on these 25 trebles, depending how high I wanted it to have a bit of a cuff. I then cast off..... Sewed up underfoot, and over the top of foot, made a small chain cord to tie and make a bow, (but I made a little flower to be different), and it was done...see ya!

Baby blanket CTC

I am expecting my first great grand baby, so I thought I'd make a nice baby blanket for when the baby is born. My grand daughter tells me she will be a girl so hence there is a lot of pink in it and not much blue. Actually I don't think there is any blue at all. Just some pale lemon and pale green. Hope they all like it...I did the corner to corner pattern and it came out alright I think. See ya..

Oh Dear.....

I was given this doll...as is..... It's a very old doll and at least at a rough guess 3 feet tall... Could I possibly fix it? I did fix one once before, a long time ago, so I will have a go... see ya!

Tissue box cover!

A tissue box cover I made...It is quite easy to make. Just make a string of chains the length of the top of whatever tissue box you want to cover. Make sure you keep a split in it in the middle for the tissues to come out through. For that, all you do is cast of the measured amount of stitches for the hole, then on the way back you cast on the same amount of stitches again and continue crocheting all the way down to the bottom of the box. If you don't increase, the pattern will automatically come around down to the bottom, then cast of and decorate with what you have. Easy right? see ya

Finally did them...

These are the beanies I made, then decided to dip them in dye, I am a little disappointed with the pale shade, but overall not too bad. see ya...Yaddy
This hat I made too. I saw a cute owl pattern knitted, so I thought I'd give it a go. The doll is a very old one that I have had for many years. It's about the size of a new born baby and the hat it is wearing would fit me, an adult. I am getting an over abundance of hats, beanies... Oh well... see ya!

Two more items!

these are the two hats I crocheted from the wool I re-used from the sleeveless top I never did make.... I am going to try and half dye them, just to see how they go. See ya... Yaddy

Oh dear....

I have been sick over the Christmas period.... I am sorry I could not make it here, I had pneumonia, and ended up in the hospital....so..... it could be a while before I pick up my knitting and crocheting again.... Yaddy
