My hooks and knits

you might recall a lovely jumper I posted a while back, and I only had a photo to go by? I did manage to do the, what I thought was the most difficult square and there it lay! Then I heard my grand daughter was expecting, so I decided, I did not really need another top....so I made it into a baby blanket instead and here it is... You might recognise one of the squares? I really do love going to the nursing home facility that I go to, and the lovely ladies there try so hard to "make" something. So this one nearly 90 year old, knitted lots and lots of small coloured squares...then she started to sew some of them together.....then she "hid" the work all together. Several times I had asked her where it was, and for her to get it and bring it, so I could crochet an edge around it for her....she finally brought it out, a bit embarrassed I think. Anyway I told her I'd take it home and see what I could do with it,. She'd sewn about 30 squares together, and still had that many to put to it....so here goes.... This is how it was when I brought it home .... I'd spread it out and had a good look to see what I could do And here it is...done....edge and all hope she likes it! See ya!
